THE WOMEN’S COMMITTEE OF THE TIMBER & WOODWORKERS’ UNION OF TUC (GHANA) 'S 5TH DELEGATES CONFERENCE
The Women's Committee of the Timber and Woodworkers’ Union (TWU) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC)
has elected National Officers who would steer affairs of the Women's Committee for
the next Quadrennial.
The following women were elected to administer the
National Women Committee to serve a four (4) year team (2020 - 2024).

The then Acting General Secretary Brother Mark Ofori Asante and Deputy Secretary General of TUC Ghana was present to grace the occasssion he urged the Secretariat to urge the women’s committee
Executives to work hand in hand with the local/branch executives to ensure the
growth and the sustainable development of their organization.
Brother Mark also made clear that the TWU will continue to place women’s issue at
the Centre of its activities and will encourage all women members to show
commitment to participate in all union meetings despite our number to sustain
women’s right within the Union and workplace.
Finally, He encouraged the delegates to
contribute effectively on women’s issues during this conference to come out
with positive ideas that will make the women’s position very strong.
