The Timber and Woodworkers Union of TUC organized a tree planting exercise from the 28th – 29th April 2021 at Koago, Wenchi in the Bono Region of Ghana. The programme was to support the Green Ghana Agenda to help reduce the climate change menace.
The General Secretary and the newly elected executives of the Youth and Women Council of the Timber and Woodworkers Union of TUC Ghana embarked on this Tree planting exercise to commemorate and support the Green Ghana Initiative of the President’s quest to make Ghana Green on the 11th June, 2021 and beyond. Members with their maximum support with the Green Ghana Initiative, embarked on a tree afforestation exercise at the Union’s Teak Project located at Kokoago in the Bono East Region.
The union would also embark on Occupational Health and Safety training as part of this package for its members in the Ashanti Region.
